Sew And Sews Place was opened in 2006, by a woman who deeply loves fabric. Namely me-Molly. I became frustrated at not being able to find fabrics that I wanted to spend my time, energy and money on. I have been sewing since I was six, mostly for myself. I have quilted and made home decor, but my true love is clothing. Now I have a sewing studio full of sewing machines, notions, patterns and dressmaker and designer fabrics that I enjoy spending my time and energy on, and I hope you will too!
All of these fabrics are hand-picked by me. I touch and feel everything first. Swatches are just too much fun! The prices are very reasonable. I'm an avid shopper, and I look at it as a challenge to find the best prices for both of us.
As for patterns, I carry patterns from independent designers, not the 'big4' (although we may use them in classes). Most of these designers are located here in the US and a few are from Canada. They actually listen to your feedback on their product lines! So look for patterns from Sew ChicPattern Co., Amy Butler, Jennifer Pagnelli, Collette, Pettites Plus, The Sewing Workshop and Indygo Junction.

Her endeavors include all types of clothing, from dressy to casual and wearable art. Linda owned a wedding dress shop, which also included making mother-of-the-bride dresses and flower girl confections. Over the years she has taught many types of swing classes in the American Sewing Guild and at a busy sewing machine dealership.
Linda moed into quilting about 20 years ago, and has enjoyed exercising her love of color and creativity with all the beautiful fabrics.
Rachel loves to sew! She enjoys teaching adults and children the art and beauty of quilting. Rachel is also a horseback riding instructor, and has a small business painting wooden barn quilts. Rachel lives in Sale Creek in a log home decorated with quilts inside and horses outside.

I grew up in Indiana, hanging out of trees, moved as a young adult to Phoenix where I raised my family, and am now enjoying Tennessee and the inspiring rolling hills. My mother was an art teacher and artist, and we learned early the value of handmade. I didn’t get Mother’s artistic abilities, but I’ve been a crafter all my life. I learned to sew out of desperation – I’m tall and tall clothes didn’t exist in the retail market when I was young. But I found I loved it because not only could I get clothes that actually fit, but I could pick out exactly the fabric and therefore the look I wanted. Sewing lead to other crafts including quilting, counted cross stitch, some knitting and weaving, and most recently beading and jewelry making. It started out as jewelry for me, with the same appeal of controlling the finished product. Then it was jewelry for everyone I knew, and it evolved into a cottage business. I’ve been beading about 12 years, and have learned several techniques - some wire work, some stitching - but my favorites are bead crochet and bead embroidery. I love sharing the joy of turning an abstract idea into a lovely piece of wearable art.

troubleshooting and fixing tough mechanical and electrical problems.
After careers as an electrical engineer, yacht electrician, and FAA
licensed aircraft mechanic, Mark turned his talents to sewing machine
service and repair work.
Mark is a Janome-certified mechanic who spent an intensive week at
the company’s headquarters, learning to service and repair Janome’s
high-quality equipment. He also works on most other brands of sewing
machines.
Mark always provides top-notch service to his customers. Putting it
another way, he treats every customer’s machine like it’s his own. He
carefully cleans and services each one, and returns the machine to
factory specs. Finally, Mark completes a test sew before giving the
machine his seal of approval.
When he’s not keeping customers’ sewing machines and embroidery
machines running smoothly, Mark makes time to complete his own
sewing projects. He also has one foot in the quilting world, as his
mother is a longtime quilter who has been recognized for her gorgeous
work. And, his wife Barbara loves her Bahamas-themed quilt that Mark
made for her.
